Hello! It's been a while since our last post, but we are back and have so many great things to share from events to things that inspire us. First off, I need to discuss my obsession with flower walls. Have you seen these? They have been popping up at various uber-fashionable events. I cannot get enough of them. Sure, a room covered entirely in flowers may be a little over the top and budget-busting, but think of each as a statement piece. A little goes a long way. How AMAZING would a flower wall be scaled down as a backdrop for a wedding ceremony, sweetheart table, or even cake table? Here are some of my favorites:
We are dying to do one. Give us a call to discuss!
Happy Friday! Trying to get some work done but am having a hard time, especially with this snoozing next to me. All I want to do is snuggle!
Do you watch Project Runway? I just watched last week's episode and it was one of my favorite challenges: the unconventional materials challenge. The episode titled, “The Ultimate Hard and Soft”, asked the designers to create looks that incorporated hard and soft materials sourced from a flower shop and hardware store into their looks. Some of the outfits were questionable, but it is amazing what they were able to accomplish. Here are a few of my favorites from the Project Runway Facebook page:

Been humming the song from the Brady Bunch all day.
I think I'll go for a walk outside now.
The Summer sun's callin' my name...
Sunshine Day. Everybody's laughin. Sunshine day.
A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to create florals for back-to-back events at Carondelet House. I have been dying to do something there since attending a cocktail party there a few months ago. The space is gorgeous, with plenty of lounge areas, a central courtyard, back patio, fireplace, exposed brick, fountains and plenty of character. If you are not familiar with Carondelet, you need to check it out here.
Because it is Summer and we have been a little obsessed with incorporating fruits and vegetables into our arrangements, we decided to use artichokes and sage. To complement the space, we opted for white, green, orange, and because I love me some pops of color, fuchsia and dark purple. We also added hydrangea, roses, dahlias, calla lilies, freesia, Amaranthus and voila!
We were so excited to be invited to the tastemaker dinner on the second evening. Entertainment provided by Elan Artists, coupled with delicious food and cocktails courtesy of Tres LA. What a perfect evening! Seriously, how does Tres LA make everything look amazing and taste even better?
Thank you Scott Clark Photography for the pics!
I am seriously hyperventilating right now! I cannot remember when the last time I was this excited, but I am officially buzzing. Today was the first day of Haute Couture week in Paris and Raf Simons' debut show with Dior. He chose to show them in five salons, each completely blanketed from ceiling to floor in flowers. Yes, you heard me right. Totally covered and each in a different color from white orchids, blue delphiniums, pink peonies, yellow mimosa and more! I cannot even begin to describe them properly so here are a few pictures:
This would make an amazing backdrop for a ceremony, sweetheart table or even a cake table. My mind is spinning. To see the full show click here.
